Between ships and urban riches: the Romans in the province of Imperia

The ancient Albintimilium, the magnificence of the Roman Ventimiglia comes to life through the events of the Punic wars, fortifications and large public works such as the theatre and the baths. The everyday Roman Liguria of trade is the focus of Santo Stefano al Mare, in whose waters a wreck with dozens of amphorae was found.

The Development of the natural and cultural resources of Liguria project (Level 4 of Por Fesr 2007-2013) promotes the territorial discoveries, and enhances or mounts ex novo museum spaces that encourage interactive and multi-sensory awareness of the finds and history.

Liguria Heritage illustrates the commercial traffic of ancient Liguria, but also the Roman tradition of the great public works.
